The stairs are our problem
Basement jobs are stair jobs, and that is the reason to hire them out. Our crews carry heavy, awkward pieces up narrow staircases every working day, with straps and dollies where they help, and padding on the railings and wall corners where they do not. Tight turns at the landing, low-clearance doorways, walk-out or not: the crew reads the route during the free estimate and handles it. You supervise from the top of the stairs with a coffee.

Finishing the basement
Framing, flooring and drywall cannot start around forty boxes and a dead freezer. We clear the space to bare walls before your contractor's first day. If the project includes tearing out old paneling or carpet, the debris side is covered under construction debris removal.

The furnace technician cannot get to the furnace. The electrical panel is behind a wall of bins. A radon mitigation system has to go in before closing. Partial cleanouts are normal: we clear the area and the path to it, and the rest stays if you want it to.

Both directions are common. Old treadmills, weight stacks and multi-station gyms are taken apart downstairs and carried up in sections.

Do I have to carry anything upstairs myself?
No. Every stair, every item, every trip is the crew's job. That is the entire point of the service.
Can you take damp or musty items?
Yes, water-damaged and musty belongings are standard basement fare. Active mold or sewage contamination needs a remediation company first, and we will say so honestly if that is what we see.
How long does a basement cleanout take?
Most basements clear in a single visit of a few hours. Full, deep basements can take longer; the walk-through sets an honest expectation.
Can you remove a freezer or water heater from the basement?

Will my walls and railings survive?
Yes. Protecting the route is part of the job: padding, careful angles, and crews who have carried a sleeper sofa up worse staircases than yours.

Can you clear only part of the basement?
Yes. Partial cleanouts for contractor access, a furnace or panel clearance, or one corner at a time are common. You pay for the volume that leaves.
